The origin of the title “Reverbera-Phonia.”<\/strong> “Reverbera” comes from “Reverberation,”<\/strong> which means echo and is the effect we achieve in the project. “Phonia”<\/strong> comes from the Greek word “\u03a6\u03c9\u03bd\u03ae”<\/strong> (Foni) and means the voice. This combination of terms reflects our project’s focus on creating a unique experience, aiming to captivate and engage listeners in a profound sonic journey.
We started by delineating the square meters. We defined two rectangular geometries (the stage and the bar). Using pallets<\/strong> as our construction unit, we chose to break up the geometries and create smaller parts to better blend with the environment. The sum of the areas of the sections equals the required total square meters.
Pallets are a sustainable, cost-effective material whose sizes follow ISO standards<\/strong>. When designing the stage, we created two visual aspects: the open stage<\/strong> and the closed stage<\/strong>. The closed stage consists of 5 enclosed parts<\/strong>, each characterized by a different material. The five materials are stone, porcelain, marble, wood, and metal<\/strong>. Each different material provides the space with a unique acoustic quality<\/strong>. The open stage consists of a mix of the aforementioned materials. These two stages are connected by a horizontal covered walkway, which is walkable on its roof. The roof is walkable to offer the viewer an additional acoustic experience as they traverse the walkway from above<\/strong>. The separation of the two “aspects” is achieved by the placement of wooden pillars that run through it like a crack along the stage.
When designing the bar, it was divided into three sections. The first is a cocktail bar and storage area, the second is a beer bar, and the third section will be for snacks.
The seating for the audience is planned to be placed between the stages and the bar, leaving room for three walkways, one in front of the bars and two walkways along the bars and stages. The seats<\/strong> will be autonomous units made from pallet parts<\/strong> and can be easily moved by the spectators. Seated spectators are estimated to be 300 or more<\/strong>; however, there is also expected to be space for standing spectators on the upper part of the walkable walkway as well as in the surrounding area of the seated spectators.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
